Business Cases for the Department of Education

The Building Future Schools Program.

The Queensland Department of Education is delivering the Queensland Government’s Building Future Schools (BFS) program which has expanded to reach a total of $1.68 billion to deliver world-class learning environments for Queensland students.

Over the 10-year period from 2016 to 2026, around 8,000 additional students are forecast to join the Queensland state school networks per year, with most of the growth within the south–east Queensland region.

The BFS program is delivering new state schools in growth areas across the state, investing in existing school assets, and making strategic land acquisitions for the future—delivering new and innovative education infrastructure solutions for growing communities.

P2P provided the Department with support leading the development of many of the investment business cases, reflecting our understanding of the Queensland Treasury business case processes.
