Maintenance Contracts and Asset Management Review

Roger and his team were engaged by the Department of Justice to conduct a review of existing maintenance contracts and asset management practices implemented by Justice Infrastructure and Assets (JIA) and provide advice on:

  • The most appropriate allocation of asset management responsibilities between insource and outsource service providers.

  • The most effective outsourcing strategy.

  • Scope amendments required to existing outsource contracts.

  • Development of a draft Asset Management Policy for the Department.

Roger led the in-depth review of existing contract documentation and facilitated interviews with key stakeholders from the Department and key asset management service providers to identify issues with the current operating model and develop a recommended model for implementation over an 18-month period.

The new model has recently been successfully implemented by JIA.
