Interim Bed Demand.
Acute hospitals across South East Queensland are under considerable pressure in meeting demand for inpatient beds and emergency department (ED) presentations.
One of the major HHS was seeking an interim demand solution to meet demand while additional physical infrastructure is being planned and developed. Working closely with the HHS we developed a co-design based transaction strategy that was outcomes focused as opposed to prescriptive in its requirements.
Through a nimble but defensible transaction process we have enabled the HHS to work with private hospital operators to co-design ED load share solutions and services focused on hospital and rehabilitation in the home.
